After a bike tour, we spontaneously turned up in the Ratskeller, with great weather outside. We had a beautiful view of the castle from our place inclusive. We sat for a short while and a very friendly waiter came and took our drinks order. Perfectly tapped drinks were served to us in a professional manner. We noticed about the way we were served; Here the customer is still king. We felt very comfortable in the outside dining area of ​​the Ratskeller. Schnitzel buffet every Friday, preferably with reservation. Overall, many guests or groups, far too little for the buffet itself. In 1.5 hours there were no fewer than five with us! The selection is accordingly good and extensive. On this day less seating in the main room due to water damage. So roughly blocked off with plywood seating areas and inaccessible toilets. The waiter was very brisk, even with his tongue. Always strives to be friendly and takes care of its guests. - You can like it, but you don't have to. Maybe in a bistro or bar with mostly young customers. In a Ratskeller with a rather selected menu and this prevailing atmosphere, please don't. As a boss, I would have long ago forbidden this bad habit or referred to a different work environment! Otherwise, everything was to our complete satisfaction except for a comment regarding the wish to put something in a bowl so that it does not end up directly on site for disposal. You should therefore only take what you really eat. Well, if it would always work like this ... Depending on the selection, even with a'la card dishes this will not always succeed. So in the future, no longer want to express a wish and take it to the bin - the Ratskeller.

Really a pity, very eager service. Unfortunately, the menu does not match the online menu. On site, there is only a stripped down selection of dishes. No dishes for vegetarians, and certainly no special requests - neither for children nor diabetics. Food only as on the map - otherwise it does not work. The kitchen is busy according to the staff, although the restaurant was not even half full. Apparently it is during the castle events just not necessary to take care of the guest ... Thank you so not with us.

Oh my goodness! Schnitzel as far as the eye can see. We had several versions of schnitzel and they were all delicious. The serving sizes are ridiculous, so make sure you are hungry when you order. Great beers! Great food! Excellent service!

Absolutely not recommended !!! We wanted to celebrate our wedding in the town hall hall and requested the date by mail. This date is still free and we can stop by. After a short time we phoned the boss, because the appointment was confirmed again. When we looked at the room and said from our side that we would like to party here, she has our appointment for the third (!!!!!!!!) times confirmed. Now we have already taken care of the pastor, the church and what else belongs to it and then have received a message from the boss: It has crept in the "Fehlerteufel" and the appointment would be otherwise reserved. After another consultation with her came not even an apology. Here, the boss simply sacrificed a "small" wedding for a more lucrative event! The behavior and style of the boss is an absolute impudence and outrageous! The lady is just unreliable! So if you want to party and plan safely, you should look for another location!

The Ratskeller should always be the good room of a city, but unfortunately that is no longer the case in Bückeburg. Both the quality of the food and drinks, as well as the friendliness and service of the staff left a lot to be desired. Bückeburg really has a lot of good and varied gastronomy to offer, you do not have to mess up your day by visiting the Ratskeller.

We waited 15-20 minutes for the waiter to even come to our table. We couldn't understand this because it wasn't even that busy! We were really close to leaving. He came just in time. We ordered our food and drinks and he came back to ask us again what we ordered. He did the same to almost every table. Writing it down would help!?! Our food came and it was ok, just ok. The section were we sat was basically ignored by the whole waiting staff. A lot of people were getting mad. It took forever for the table next to us to get their bill. When we were done, we went to the downstairs bar to pay because we didn't want to stay any longer! We won't be going back. P.S.- the restrooms were not good either. There was an old dirty towel for drying your hands instead of a dryer or paper, and the soap dispenser was filled with water to make it last longer! Not cool!
